Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s musical, My Fair Lady, is an adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion.  The story concerns Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from professor Henry Higgins, a phoneticist, so that she may pass as a lady.  The clash of cultures sparks some of theatre’s most jubilant songs and witty dialogue. The triumphant score featuring some of the most memorable Broadway hits of all time including ‘The Rain in Spain’, ‘I Could Have Danced all Night’, ‘Get Me to the Church on Time’, and ‘Wouldn’t it be Loverly’.
