The two part mini-series Peter Allen: Not The Boy Next Door tells the remarkable story of Peter Allen’s rise from country New South Wales to the Hollywood Hills. Managed by Judy Garland at 20, married to Liza Minnelli at 23 and the first Australian to win an Oscar (‘Arthur’s Theme’) and a Grammy (‘I Honestly Love You’ – Olivia Newton-John), Peter Allen is one of Australia’s most adored entertainers and the man behind some of its most iconic songs, including Tenterfield Saddler and I Still Call Australia Home.

From the creators of the blockbuster series INXS: Never Tear Us Apart and Catching Milat, Peter Allen: Not The Boy Next Door is written by Stephen MacLean, Michael Miller and Justin Monjo, and directed by Multi-Award winner Shawn Seet and screened on the Seven Network in 2015.

Peter Allen Not The Boy Next Door featured Elise as Allen’s sister Lynne Wollnough opposite AACTA Award winner Joel Jackson in the role of Peter Allen. Also featured were Aussie TV favourites Sigrid Thornton as Judy Garland and Rebecca Gibney as Allen’s mother, Marion Woolnough, alongside Sara West’s portrayal of Liza Minnelli, and Ky Baldwin as Young Peter.
