After staring as Ali in the 10th Anniversary tour of MAMMA MIA in 2009/2010, Elise has returned to the greek islands in the iconic lead role of Donna, in the Australian revival of Mamma Mia which opened at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre in May 2023, following seasons in Brisbane and Melbourne throughout 2023.
Seen and loved by over 65 million people around the world, this smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! is a celebration of love, laughter and friendship. It tells the tale of Donna, an independent, fiery single mum and he daughter, Sophie, a young bride-to-be. As Sophie goes on a quest to discover the identity of her father on the eve of her wedding, she brings three men from Donna’s past back to the island. Underneath the comedic, light-hearted set up is a more poignant story as the two generations of women explore love, loss, friendship, coming to terms with a daughter leaving for adulthood and the requirement of a male figure in both their quest for fulfilment.
